Brunton 8099 eclipse observation compass
The Eclipse 8099 compass is an observation instrument that uses the Earth's magnetic field to show a direction (direction) in degrees. The Eclipse 8099 also contains three clinometer scales to measure angles from the horizontal (0 °). The guidance section provides a description of the important parts of Eclipse 8099. These systems allow accurate measurement of angles from the horizontal, and the 5 ° scales provide a legible accuracy of 2.5 °. The 5 ° hinging clinometer is considered the fastest method for measuring the inclination, while the 5 ° card clinometer is used to observe the inclination up or down from the horizon.
The 1 ° graduated dial provides more precision for detailed measurements. The compass also includes a round bubble level, which improves the accuracy of impact and fall measurements.
