RG8 Coaxial Cable

Characteristics:

RG8 coaxial cables are used in network and telecommunications applications. They are designed to transmit radio frequency (RF) signals at long distances with a minimum signal loss. RG8 cables are commonly used for base station antennas, long-distance communication links and other applications where low losses and high performance are required.

RG8 Coaxial Cable

The RG-8 / U is a 50 ohm double-shielding coaxial cable with an external diameter of 0.405 inches and a maximum working voltage of 4000 Vrms. It has an internal 7-wire copper driver (which carries the electrical signal), which is surrounded by a typical insulating layer made of low density solid polyethylene (PE).

The cable carries a layer of insulation surrounded by a protective layer made of copper braze a combination of attached aluminium paper and copper braze. The shields form an external driver and also provide a shield against electromagnetic interference. Finally, the structure is covered with a more external layer called a jacket made of Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The case protects the core of the cable from mechanical, moisture and chemical problems.
