Traffic safety cones with high-intensity silver reflective strips, bright fluorescent orange cones are extremely striking to alert people to notice it regardless of day or night, cloudy or fog day.

Security cones are essential elements for signalling and transit control, used in urban areas as well as in industrial environments, construction works, events and public or private spaces to delimit work areas, signify detours or warn about temporary hazards.

They are commonly made of resistant materials such as PVC or plastic, designed to withstand adverse weather conditions and have reflective bands that increase their visibility at night or under low light conditions.
Its most common color is fluorescent orange, although they are also found in yellow, red and other bright colors to maximize attention.

These cones usually have a heavy base for greater wind stability and resistance, and some models include ultraviolet treatments to prolong their durability. They are made in different sizes, such as 12, 18, 28, 36 or 70 cm high, and are available in packages ranging from 4 to more than 100 units.

Some models are folding or with reflective necks, and are used in various applications such as road signs, parking, driving practices, demarcation of play areas or vehicle protection.

In some countries, such as El Salvador, no specific size is required for safety cones, although it is recommended to use them as part of vehicle safety elements, along with existing fire extinguishers and documentation.

However, its use is not free of problems, as in some cases cones are reported, even in front of official buildings, attributed to students, drunks or vandals. In other cases, acts of intentional destruction have been reported, such as when a subject shot down security cones on a public road.
